PT Mitra Investindo Tbk ( MITI ) continues to strengthen its position as a listed company, primarily focusing on the silica sand industry and its derivative products. This is being achieved through two indirect subsidiaries: PT Danau Buntar Kuarsa (DBK) and PT Kendawangan Prima Silika (KPS), which are part of the PT Nusantara Bina Silika (NBS) group.Citing information disclosure from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), Friday (29/8/2025), the Exploration IUP for DBK and KPS was issued on August 25, 2025, by the West Kalimantan Province Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), and received by the Company on August 26, 2026.DBK received a concession of 4,888 hectares, while KPS received 2,965 hectares.The entire area is located in Kendawangan District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan Province. The concession is adjacent to an area owned by PT Kendawangan Berkah Kersih (KBK), which previously obtained an Exploration mining Permit (IUP) in late January 2025.The proximity of the three concessions provides operational synergy as well as logistical efficiency, which is believed to increase the Group's capacity to expand operational activities and optimize silica sand production and distribution in the future.All of these plans will be integrated with the development of the industrial area run by the Company's subsidiary, PT Ketapang Prima Resources.In this Exploration IUP stage, the Company will carry out General Investigations, Exploration, and Feasibility Studies to then obtain a Production Operation business permit.Mitra Investindo Secures mining Permit for Quartz Sand ExplorationPreviously, PT Mitra Investindo Tbk (MITI) obtained a mining Business Permit (IUP) for the exploration phase. The permit was obtained by PT Nusantara Bina Silika, a subsidiary of the Company, through its subsidiary, PT Kendawangan Berkah Kersik (KBK), which had already obtained an exploration IUP for certain types of non-metallic minerals (quartz sand).Silica sand containing SiO2 is the main raw material in making solar panels. The Exploration IUP obtained by KBK was issued on January 24, 2025, by the West Kalimantan Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP) for a working area of ​​2,042.03 hectares strategically located in Kendawangan District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan Province. In the exploration phase of the IUP, the company will conduct general investigations, exploration, and feasibility studies on the land to obtain a production operation IUP business permit."The Exploration IUP we obtained through the KBK covers more than 2,000 hectares, marking the beginning of our footprint in silica sand mining, in addition to the total logistics industry that has been an integral part of our portfolio for decades.
