PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), through its subsidiary PT Kaltim Prima coal (KPC), reported exploration activities carried out throughout July 2026. The exploration focused on three main mining areas: Pit Inul Lignite, Pit Pedayak West, and Pit South Pinang Ext.Total exploration costs incurred by KPC during the period reached IDR 2.1 million for each exploration area. Activities used open-hole and core drilling methods to assess coal quality and distribution at the sites.In a report on Wednesday (10/8), BUMI Corporate Secretary Irana Candra Mala stated that at Pit Inul Lignite, KPC completed 33 open holes and 11 core holes, with follow-up plans for an additional 5 open holes and 1 core hole.At Pit Pedayak West, 36 open holes and 20 core holes were completed, with a plan to continue with 86 open holes and 34 core holes.At Pit South Pinang Ext, drilling comprised 42 open holes and 66 core holes, with follow-up plans for 14 open holes and 6 core holes.“The Company ensures that exploration activities are carried out in accordance with the current year’s work plan and budget,” Irana wrote.On Wednesday (10/8), BUMI’s share price fell 1.39% to IDR 142.Over the past month, BUMI has surged 31.4% from IDR 108 on September 8, 2025.Over six months, BUMI has jumped 77.5% from IDR 80 on April 8, 2025.Year-to-date (YTD), BUMI is up 15.5% from IDR 123 on January 2, 2025.
