Paringin, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - adaro Grup keeps on its commitment to strengthen communities around the companies operational areas, including Islamic boarding school (pesantren) in Balangan District, South Kalimantan Province, through its social responsibility.
This year's adaro Pesantren Sejahtera Program (PAPS) is fostering Riyadhul Muhibbin Islamic Boarding School in Bungin village, Balangan District, as partner in this program.
"We express our gratitude for adaro's assistance in efforts to improve the welfare of pesantren and santri (students)," said Caretaker of Riyadhul Muhibbin Muhammad Saubari in Paringin, Friday.
This pesantren, which was founded in 2014, has now around 250 santri with a business unit for cultivating laying hens.
Previously, adaro's program received appreciation from Balangan Regent H Abdul Hadi at PAPS's kick off with a theme "Powerful collaboration, building synergy, realizing independent Islamic boarding school".
"Riyadhul Muhibbin becomes the fourth pesantren in Balangan to receive assistance from adaro Group to strengthen economic independence," he said.

The Regent hopes this adaro's program could reinforce the independence of pesantren, both economically and in education management.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of adaro Foundation (YABN) Mohammad Effendi explained that adaro Pesantren Sejahtera Program started in 2018 by fostering six Islamic boarding schools.
Until 2023, this program had supported three pesantren, and is now entering a new phase in 2024 with addition of new partners.
Effendi hopes this program will improve welfare of pesantren and supporting their independence in the economic and educational fields.
"There needs to be synergy from various parties, for the smoothness and sustainability of this program," said Effendi.
Attending the kick off were adaro Energy, adaro Foundation, Balangan Coal, Balangan Regent Abdul Hadi and Chairwoman of Balangan TP-PKK Sri Huriyati Hadi.
