Bakrie Group coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk. (BUMI) reported coal production of 35.9 million tons during the first half of 2025. This production decreased compared to the same period the previous year.Based on company data, BUMI recorded coal production of 35.9 million tons in the first six months of 2025. This production decreased by 5% compared to the same period last year of 37.7 million tons.Meanwhile, BUMI's coal sales also fell 5% year-on-year, from 37 million tons in the first half of 2024 to 34.8 million tons in the first half of this year.BUMI's overburden removal also recorded a 14% decrease, to 290.5 million bcm, from the previous 337.6 million bcm.Meanwhile, BUMI stated that its sales target for this year is 76 million to 78 million tons of coal. BUMI estimates that the average coal price will reach USD 60 to USD 62 per ton by the end of the year. BUMI also stated that throughout the first half of 2025, the company's average selling price (ASP) of coal fell 19%, resulting in a 20.4% decline in revenue.
