PT Timah Tbk has officially announced partnership opportunities for potential partners, particularly for offshore mining using production suction vessels. This initiative encourages business participation while ensuring that natural resources are managed responsibly and sustainably.Corporate Secretary of PT Timah Tbk, Rendi Kurniawan, explained that the partnership is one of the company’s strategies to improve production performance, enhance stakeholder engagement, and strengthen collaboration with local businesses. The mining partnership will be carried out based on Board Regulation No. 0017 of 2025 concerning Guidelines for mining Cooperation under the Partnership Program and for Alluvial Tin and Associated Tin Minerals.This Board Regulation aims to uphold integrity and prevent conflicts of interest, improve technical efficiency, and optimize the use of digital systems through pengadaan.com and the mining Contractor Online System (MCOS) in the partnership process.In selecting mining partners, PT Timah involves various divisions within the company, including the Exploration & Production Planning Division, Procurement Division, HSE & Sustainability Division, Engineering & Operation Excellence Division, Mine Support Division, and Regional/Area units.“The company is opening partnership opportunities under the principles of transparency and sustainability. Through this cooperation, the company seeks to create a healthy, fair mining ecosystem that delivers optimal benefits for both the public and the state,” he said on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.Rendi explained that prospective partners may register through the company’s official procedures before October 31, 2025. The selection process is conducted transparently to ensure partners have integrity, technical capacity, and a commitment to mining practices that comply with regulations.The partnerships offered include alluvial tin mining and associated tin minerals using production suction vessels. The mining locations will be on Bangka Island and Kundur.The criteria for business partners include: experience in tin mining activities, adequate resources in terms of manpower and equipment, integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to operational sustainability.“Transparency in mining partnerships is expected to provide economic value for communities while contributing to wiser and more sustainable management of natural resources,” he added.
