Sinarmas Group (GEMS) Spends IDR 31.44 Billion on Coal Exploration in Q4 2025

The Sinarmas Group’s coal issuer, PT Golden Energy Mines Tbk (GEMS), spent IDR 31.44 billion on exploration activities throughout the fourth quarter of 2025.This exploration expenditure originated from the activities of two subsidiaries, namely PT Borneo Indobara (BIB) and PT Barasentosa Lestari (BSL).In an information disclosure submitted on Monday (1/12/2026), BIB realized exploration funds amounting to IDR 30.26 billion out of a total budget allocation of IDR 43.02 billion. These funds were used for pre-production exploration, development exploration, and geotechnical drilling in the North Girimulya area.BIB's exploration activities were carried out by the Survey, Geotech & Exploration (SGE) Department using open-hole and partial coring methods. During this period, BIB completed 37 drill holes with a total drilling depth of 5,578.28 meters and logging activities covering 5,143.60 meters.Meanwhile, PT Barasentosa Lestari (BSL) realized exploration costs of IDr 1.18 billion from a total budget of IDR 1.27 billion.These funds were utilized for open-hole, partial coring, and full coring drilling activities to obtain coal quality samples and geotechnical samples in the Muara Lakitan Block area.By the end of 2025, BSL's exploration drilling activities in the Muara Lakitan Block had completed 15 drill holes with a total depth reaching 1,542.50 meters.Additionally, BSL's drilling activities in the Belani Block were conducted by PT Indonesia Carbon Energy (ICE) using three rig units. The project was under the supervision of the Geology and Geotech Section of BSL's Mine Planning & Technical Service Department.
