PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk, also known as Harita Nickel, is strengthening its operational efficiency strategy and implementation of sustainable business practices to maintain financial performance stability amid increasingly challenging global nickel industry dynamics.Entering 2026, the company remains committed to managing operations in a measured manner across its entire value chain, from upstream mining activities to downstream processing.“The global nickel industry is currently highly dynamic and full of challenges. Our focus is to ensure operations continue to run efficiently, responsibly, and in a measured manner,” said Harita Nickel Head of Investor Relations, Lukito Gozali, in an official statement.Lukito added that integration from mining to processing has become the company’s key strategy in maintaining productivity and operational effectiveness, while continuing to prioritize governance and long-term business sustainability.Despite fluctuating global nickel prices, Harita Nickel has managed to maintain business continuity. Based on the company’s financial data, NCKL recorded revenue of IDR 29.63 trillion in fiscal year 2025 and IDR 6.81 trillion in the first quarter of 2026.Operationally, all of NCKL’s production lines were reported to be running according to target. These include three main segments: upstream nickel ore mining, pyrometallurgical processing through the Rotary Kiln Electric Furnace (RKEF) route, and hydrometallurgical processing through the High Pressure Acid Leach (HPAL) route, producing Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP) and nickel sulfate.To support energy cost efficiency while reducing carbon emissions, Harita Nickel is accelerating several renewable energy initiatives in stages. Ongoing strategic projects include the development of a 40 MWp solar power plant, a 50 MW waste heat recovery power plant from HPAL facilities, and the implementation of an Energy Management System aligned with ISO 50001 standards to ensure more measurable and efficient energy usage.In addition to focusing on profitability, NCKL is also strengthening its commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. The company has currently entered the corrective action phase in its performance evaluation process based on The Initiative for Responsible mining Assurance (IRMA) standards.Furthermore, Harita Nickel is preparing to undergo the Responsible Minerals Assurance Process (RMAP) Supply Chain Due Diligence Plus (SCDDP) Module audit as part of its efforts to strengthen responsible and transparent supply chain practices in the global market.
